Life is Rosy at 8 Weeks

We have had such a great week. Rose made her grand debut at CHS, STARS and family's church.
She wore her pretty dress for the debut at church and got a picture with daddy. Can you see how much they look alike? I've got two good-lookin' people in my house.

Rose is getting cuter and cuter by the day. She still sleeps in the same position. I am not sure how the first one is comfortable...oh well!

She is such a social butterfuly (like her mommy). She likes to sit facing the world and will get nice and comfy to take it all in. Spoiled: of course. Cute: Absolutely. She is Miss Thang!

Rose slept in her big girl crib for the first time on Monday night. She did SO good!!! I, however, did not do so good. I believe I checked the baby monitor every 10 minutes for the entire night and was a stalker. She loves her room. She will just lay in her crib and look around.

Blankets Galore:
We have so many talented family members that have made Rose blankets. We also have family members and friends that have good taste in blankets. Here's a snapshot for them all. Special thanks to our model, Rose, who looks beautiful no matter what she's wrapped in...

This blanket was made by Grammie Scarborough. Notice the personalized signature that says "Made By Grandma". It's got a beautiful pattern and is all white. Thanks Grammie!!!

Grammie Scarborough also made Rose's crib set. Here is the blanket (purple polka dots and stripes) that Rose will be enjoying when she is a little older.

This blanket was knit by Great Grandma Whitaker. It's a combination of girlie colors and is soft and cuddly. Thank you to Great Grandma Whitaker (or whatever name you want to be called)!!

This blanket was handmade by Great Grandma Brabham. It's white and best of all, machine-washable. Special thanks to Great Grandma Brabham!!

These blankets were created by "Aunt" Susan and financed by both Susan and Jay. Susan had a friend make it and it is just gorgeous. Purple is Rose's future favorite color (she just doesn't know it yet) and her future favorite flowers are Roses (again something she doesn't know yet). Unfortunately, our model was unavailable for this shot. Thank you "Aunt" Susan and "Uncle" Jay!!

This blanket was selected and purchased by the Milliken family. It has a satin-y brown side or cuddly, soft pink side. What more could a girl ask for - the best of both worlds :) They must have deep pockets. Thanks to the Milliken family!

This blanket was made by my Great Granny Fagan. She died when I was younger, but my sweet Grandma Whitaker saved this for her great grandkids. Isn't that sweet? Thanks Great Grandma Whitaker and Granny Fagan.

Can't forget the portable and lightweight waffle blankets, purchased by Chris Scarborough and Sara La (brother and sister-in-law). They come in a variety of colors and are very good swaddling blankets! Thank you Uncle Chris and Aunt Sara!!! Also thanks to the beautiful model, Jama, who is helping our other model, Rose.

Last but not least, we have Blake's childhood blanket that his mom gave to Rose. We can't remember who made it but think it was from Great Grandma Ida.

Our lil Diva is also learning how to imitate sounds and facial expressions. She is now a happy baby! She smiles and giggles often and is fascinated by sounds and people.

This video is of Rose when we first introduced her to her crib. As you can see, it was an easy transition (so far, I hope I haven't jinxed myself).

Thank you so much for bringing Rose to see me! I enjoyed spending the afternoon with her so much. I hope I get to see her again soon. I think we bonded! Miss you!
