Rose's Post-Surgery Update

Rose's surgery went REALLY well on Thursday. She is a totally different baby. She is happy all of the time, smiling all of the time, playing ON HER OWN and sleeping ON HER OWN! Can you believe it? She actually slept 12 hours last night and only got up once! We are in shock and are so thankful that our princess is feeling better. Thank goodness for tubes!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers this week. We are very happy with the outcome and progress!

This is Rose's new crawl. Not sure what to call it. Blake likes scooch, I like wounded solider. Regardless, it is cute and funny (sorry, I am chatting on the phone while videotaping, multi-tasking is fun!)

This is Rose waving to Daddy (who's grilling outside) and she says "Dada" a couple of times.

9 Months

Rose had her 9 month checkup yesterday. She is 29 1/4 inches tall (in the 95th percentile for height) and 17 lbs. 10 oz. (30th for weight). She is healthy and happy (most of the time). She is scheduled to have surgery for tubes on Thursday. We are excited and nervous. Hopefully, this will help her feel better and she can get some zzzzzz's. I know I sure can use some!

Rose still likes to cuddle and hates being alone. We are working on helping her become more independent, but what can I say, I (and the people that take care of her) like to spoil her :) She hasn't started crawling yet; I don't think she will. She seems really disinterested with it and would rather scooch on her butt. She does like walking around all over the place (with assistance, of course) - so we are just practicing on that.

The entire family has been quite sick for about 2 weeks. Rose brought it home and it's been cycling through ever since, so sorry I am late with the post. I'll post on Thursday or Friday to let you know how Rose's surgery went.

Blake celebrated her 29th (OMG) birthday this week. He is getting old :) Smooches!

Gotta love the messy eating pictures. This is a daily event in the Scarborough household :)

I know this is cruel but I had to do it. The mohawk wasn't dramatic enough.

Here is a recent video of trying out real food (Chicken and Peas). As you can tell, the experience was hilarious for me but not pleasant for her.
