6 Months Old - Can you believe it???!!???

First of all, let me apologize for not posting sooner. I've had a ton of problems uploading pictures and videos so I've been REALLY frustrated - but I think I've figured it out. I haven't been able to upload the videos still - so you'll need to log into my Facebook account to see Rose in action.

We have a LOT of updates! Rose is now 6 months old and is growing so fast!
- Rose got her 6 month shots last week and was 15 lbs. 15 oz (in the 50th percentile) and 27 inches long (90th percentile!!!).
- She LOVES LOVES LOVES her paci! I don't know what we would do without that thing!
- She is eating real baby food. She didn't care much for green beans at first, but now she'll eat just about anything with no protest.
- She has mastered rolling over and can move with a purpose now (I had a video, but it wouldn't upload). If she sees something she wants at a reasonable distance, she will roll over to it. She hasn't quite figured out the crawling thing, but she is getting the basic knowledge now.
- She loves toys that makes noise.
- She LOVES being mobile. She will stay in her walker for a pretty long time and will get into everything. I don't think she understands the word "no" yet - either that or she is choosing not to "know". :) She likes getting into the trash and pulling the towels down from the stove.
- She loves paper. There could be 15 things on a table in front of her and she will go for the paper first. She loves to eat it. I love to watch disinigrating, mushy paper being transformed into my princesses mouth.
- She is spoiled thanks to grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. This child does not go without anything (which we are thankful for!)
- Her and Taylor are partners in crime. Rose likes to chase Taylor around the house, pull on her hair and terrorize her. Taylor likes to play with Rose's toys, steal her pacifiers (and hide them, can't find her hiding place, yet - and no, I don't give them back to Rose) and be Rose's protector (or taddle-tell).
- She will babble all day long and is making new sounds everyday.
- She tried a sippy cup for the first time last weekend and loves it - I think it feels good on her lil teeth that are coming in (soon, I hope)
- She is so fun to be around and is a happy baby. We are so happy to have her, we've decided to keep her (j/k) :)

We took Rose to the pediatrician last week for her 6 month check up. The doctor has referred us to the neurologist because Rose is showing signs of "abnormal muscle tension movements", which could be from seizure activities. The doctor just wants us to be safe but thinks that it may just be something that Rose does. Better safe than sorry. We have a visit with the neurologist next Tuesday. I'm not sure what they are planning to do but I know they will be running some tests. Please keep us in your thoughts.

Here are some pictures of Rose over the past month. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas season!

Taylor and Rose are the best of friends. Rose likes to pull on Taylor's hair, Taylor likes to play with Rose's toys. It's a mutually benefiting relationship.

It's been FREEZING here. Luckily, Rose is a fan of her cute little hat and will wear it proudly (isn't she a doll?).

Birthday Week

Still sleepless in Smyrna...but it's getting better.

Rose was diagnosed with another ear infection on Monday. She is now on antibiotics for the ear infection and acid reflux, so she seems to be feeling much better.

She just started eating baby food. We tried pears last night and she loved it!

Rose is growing up so fast. She is wheeling around the house in her walker and touching everything. Here is a picture of a balloon that she got a hold of :)

I celebrated my birthday last week by going to the zoo with my princess, Blake and my parents. We had a really good time. Rose loved animal watching; she pretty much loves anything outdoors.

Rose's First Halloween

Rose started off being a pirate for her first halloween. She loved the outfit. I have the cutest videos of her in her costume but I have tried to upload it everyday for a week and it won't work - so I'm giving up. Check out my facebook page for some videos. We went to daddy's work to show off her costume (since he worked the night shift) then to Uncle David and Aunt Crystal's for trick or treating. We all had a blast.

When it got a little colder out, Rose became a chicken. She HATED this costume and protested immediately.

Rose and Taylor have become great friends. Rose will pull on Taylor's hair and will chase her in her walker, and Taylor loves every minute of it.

Rose also has learned how to use new toys. We introduced the walker to her this week and she is zipping all around the house now. I'll post some pics of that next week. Here she is going limp in her door jumper and figured out that she can get it twisted up and then let it go to spin around real fast.

Rose loves playing with her daddy. :)

Her GERD (or acid reflux) is getting much better and we are starting to see results from the medicine.
