GERD

Sorry I haven't posted in my normal manner. Blake and I have been trying to keep it together. Rose hasn't been sleeping more than 30 minutes at a time and was vomiting her bottles up. We found out that she has GERD (pretty much acid reflux), so she's been on medicine. It's getting better. We are sleep training ALL OVER again and it takes every ounce of energy we have to get through the day. I will post more pictures once I get more smiles from my sweetie (both of them) :)

More From FL

Rose also visited the beach for the first time. She slept the entire time, until I woke her to have he "feet in the water" moment, which didn't go like I had dreamed it would. She screamed immediately and was not a happy camper. :) Oh well, worth a shot. I guess it does suck to wake up and have your feet put in water.

While we were in FL, Blake's cousin took so awesome shots of Rose ad us. Aren't they amazing? Thanks Jack!

All in all, we had a blast in FL. Now it's back to the real world :)

Vacation in Florida - 19 Weeks

We left Wednesday for our week vacation in FL to visit Blake's family. While we were here, Rose hit 3 major milestones...putting her feet in her mouth, rolling over and sleeping thru the night!! WOOOOHOOOO

Rose also finally got her foot in her mouth - yummy!!

Blake's best friend and the best man in our wedding, Brad, met us in Pensacola. They spent the weekend trash talking, playing golf and watching college football.

Daddy and Rose napping together (and sleeping the same)

Rose got to meet Blake's grandma. She has been patiently waiting to meet her great-granddaughter. While we were visiting, Rose rolled over for the first time!! YAH!

Rose got her first wheelchair ride / adventure as her great-grandma showed her off to her friends in assisted living.

Rose played with a bear that Blake's grandpa gave to Blake's grandma last Christmas before he passed away. Rose loved it!

Rose on the porch, enjoying the beautiful FL weather.

More sleeping shots :)

Before we left for FL, Rose got her 4 moth shots. We got to hear her scream for the first time.

Rose finally rolled over while we were at Blake's grandma's house. She has been a rolling over machine ever since. She cries when she gets on her belly and hasn't been able to get back over.

Ears and Tears @ 18 Weeks

Another eventful week. I'm beginning to understand the concept of "time flies" and wish that it would slow down so we can breathe a little. We are going on vacation this week to visit Blake's parents in Florida so I will probably be late with the next posting. Enjoy!!!

We love Sunday lunches with the family. Here is Rose playing with her Great Aunt Minnie.

And her Uncle Brad feeding her (isn't he a cutie - he's single ladies!)

I've decided that life really isn't fair. This is what I have to leave to every morning. It's so darn cute I just want to kiss their cheeks all day long and stay at home. Too bad kisses don't pay the bills.

Then I get texts all day of my cutie sleeping in the most adorable poses. Don't get me wrong, I love getting these texts but it makes me want to stay home all day.

Rose and Taylor are becoming quite good friends. Rose is starting to grab tufts of Taylor's hair; Taylor is such a good sport about it. They are starting to become curious and play together. Rose will smile really big when Taylor jumps on the couch.

Rose tried to support her Titans this Sunday, but they still sucked. Oh well, at least she looked cute.

Rose likes helping me do chores around the house. Laundry is her favorite if coupled with hide and seek. I'm going to have to embrace spit up and/or slobber on my clean laundry.

Lil Miss Thang is facinated by her spoon and loves to steal if from me while I'm feeding her. She is getting much better at eating rice cereal. The trick, I've discovered, is mixing it with apple juice - finger lickin' good apparently. She is also more interested in the bowl and sitting sideways then facing me. I guess I'll take the blame on this one - she has to be where the action is!!!

After looking at this picture, I'm wondering if it's not a smart idea to start buckling her in. Just a hunch.

We took Rose to the pediatrician on Thursday for her 4 month check-up and shots. She was running a fever but tested negative for an ear infection and the flu. Sure enough, she was still running a fever on Friday and we figured out that she had developed an ear infection. She is probably the best acting baby with an ear infection that I've ever seen - granted, we caught it the first day but I feel really blessed that I didn't have the up all night, fussy baby with an ear infection. She is on antibotics and is doing great!

I finally got my camera back - yahhh! Here are some pictures from our visit to Florence last weekend.

Blake and his momma (Lou Lou):

The first time that Rose met Gigi (Blake's grandma).

She is so darn cute. I'm so happy that she's mine.

My little Rose-bug

Here is a video of Rose and Jama (my mom) playing. You can see that she is starting to giggle and interact more. I think she is as cute as a button (okay, cuter than a button, but you know what I mean).
