We took Taylor to the vet yesterday to get her fixed. We later discovered that she got pregnant in November (see posting on Nov 19 to see the daddy) and was carried the baby in her fallopian tubes. Once the baby ran out of room, it died. Taylor was born with closed fallopian tubes. The dead baby released poisionous toxins and caused her to be very sick. We didn't notice anything different besides her sleeping more than usual. She has never been a good eater so that wasn't a good indicator. She has been running a dangerous high fever for weeks now and the vet said next week she would have gotten even worse and could have possibly died. Needless to say, she was fixed and is on the road to recovery. She is at home now and is sleeping a lot. She is cuddling and hates to be left alone. She can't get on the furniture so we are having to haul her around from couch to couch. She was awake for 10 minutes and wanted to sit by the window, which is the picture attached. She is on antibotics and should be fine in the next couple of days. We feel so lucky to have caught it when we did...
